Win or lose, the Obama-non is a moment in time that fan or not we won't likely forget. History has been made and history, of course, requires collectibles.

If you visit a Political Memorabilia store and look at the buttons from historic campaigns that are the most valuable you will notice a couple of commonalities rarity and timelessness of design. Those were the two basic elements we look for here. We tried not to pick any official merchandise on this one or buttons we could find in stores, but the best of what we cold find in the streets from vendors who we probably would never see again.

Of course, rare is relative in the button industry. You're talking about a $2 - $5 piece of mass-produced crap, frankly, The whole goal is to sell thousands, so any value here will be for those people who decide not to throw one of these buttons  in the trash when you find one in your sock drawer five years from now.

Yes! Anything with Obama picture on it will be a collectable item, because he has made history, he is the first black man who has come this far, no one in their wildest dream could imagine that this day would come, but it has, we are no longer consider the back of the bus or cotton field picker race any more, God has sent an angel and his name is [Obama]his name and his face will forever be in the hearts of the true americans who don't see colors as an issue!

To say that Obama is an angel is not to imply that he is perfect. Moreover, to my knowledge perfection is not a requirement to be an angels. An angel may be a grandmother who cursed like a sailor but who taught you faith, a gay relative who believed in you when no one else did, ... Obama will surely make mistakes, but his accomplishment provides hope for millions. Now if that aint some angel shit, the rest of us aint got a chance!

Cassandra B,
I fully agree with you. Sen. Obama is the first black man that has come this far, and is the one to run this country, it is Sen. Obama's time. You see what God has for you, can't no one take it away. It is for those who have been left behind. I am not the person to stoop low like others that have no business on Ebony, our news page. Now if you want to say something positive about Sen. Obama thats o.k. but talking stupid about Sen.Obama, makes your self look stupid.
